Please help fund our current and ongoing initiatives
We are currently in the second stage of construction of a 24-foot by 30-foot pole barn to serve as a cattery for our healthy cat population to keep them isolated from our FeLV- and FIP-infected cats. We still need to finish the insulation, treat the floor, install drywall, etc.
If you would like to donate directly to this initiative, please let us know when making your donation. You can also donate to the Cattery Initiative by visiting our GoFundMe page at https://gofundme.org
We spend an extraordinary amount of money keeping our animal population healthy. We are very proactive in addressing health concerns as soon as they arise and routinely administer medicines to keep our population healthy and adoptable.
If you would like to donate directly to this initiative to help defray the cost of vet visits and medications, please let us know when making your donation.
Although we do not directly participate in medical research, we are involved in ad hoc studies to identify the most effective tests and drugs to treat feline leukemia and other diseases. Studies have shown that some FeLV tests are no better than an educated guess. Through our retesting program, we can ensure that FeLV negative cats stay that way. Many cats that come to us are labelled as FeLV positive when they are not infected with the virus. If a cat is found to be FeLV negative using a higher quality test, we will have them vaccinated and make them available for adoption.
If you would like to donate directly to this initiative, which helps save a countless number of cats from becoming infected with this cruel disease, please let us know when making your donation.
